I reach out to you across the miles, You've been gone for what feels like awhile, I feel you there all alone just you and the baby in the hotel room, I close my eyes and then I open them, and I watch over you and the baby sleeping ever so peacefully, So innocent and sweet, I kiss you both ever so gently, I turn to leave and return to my body and mind, But am stopped when the baby opens his eyes, He smiles so sweetly, And feel little tugs on my heart's strings, So I sit and wait for him to go back to sleep, My angels who have no wings, If only you knew what I feel, I love so deep and so real, But I hide it well, You don't know I am under your spell, Only friends till time will tell, So I'll protect you and watch over your family, In this I will not fail, I am your friend when you're awake, Becoming your guardian angel when sleep overtakes. |
