Time is fleeting and powerful, trapping the soul in regret or hope

Endless, yet lost

Longing spurred by the lightening of a heart, a smile

Dissipates in a moment of confusion

What inner demons drive interpretation of this fundamental quantity?

No traveling backward, no predicting allowed

In fantasy desires are fulfilled without restraint, and yet we long

To taste reality

 Always
Hey ES I always enjoy reading your poetry. I like this for the thought behind it. We as people never really look at the soul of others which tends to hold us back. Also I liked the way you wrote it out just there with no rhmye. Another great one.

 I always...
Love poems that encourage people to look inward at their own soul... Reflect... To take a minute to contemplate.... I'm all about it! Great message.... A healthy serving of Food for thought. (yummy) And now, a criticque of the layout of this poem..... If Lusty would allow you a rewrite on this.. work on the rythm... the breaks. I fully understand that, as the writer, we hear the beat... in our heads, so to speak... however.... John Q Public... tends to be ALWAYS marching to a different beat... a different drummer... And it's Johnny we're always trying to reach.... Ain't life a Bitch. Good work though! Montana
