glances with him, smiles even. He always seemed to be tanned. His steel grey eyes and black hair, like her own, were just the perfect combination to make her knees weak. Not that she would ever admit that. She hadn't even told Hayden about her little crush on this god-like creature. He was probably married, engaged, or at least attached to someone… surely? He turned toward her with a smile. “Well, hello there, I know it’s a little bit late. I'm sure you want to go home, but... I don't suppose Hayden is here?” His voice was low and rumbling and it shook her insides. “No, I sent her home already. I don't suppose I could help you with anything?” Callista queried and tucked some of her long hair behind her ear. “Yes,” he smirked, “I think you could.” He leaned on the counter with one hand and extended his hand. “I'm Scott, and you are...?” “Callista, it’s a Greek name, but everyone calls me Cally.” She took his hand in hers, feeling a jolt of something course through her. Lust maybe? She would definitely categorize that as lust. “Well, Cally,” he gently let go of her hand, “I'm looking for something sweet tonight, something I've never tried.” 'ME!' She thought to herself. 'You've never tried me!' She kept herself in check and began listing things off. Some she knew he'd already tried, but this was a chance she had never gotten before, to be able to talk to him. She finally decided what it would be that he must try. “I made some beignets this morning, it’s deep-fried dough covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with melted butter.” “Mmm, it sounds delicious.” He grinned. “I guess that’s what it’s going to be.” Was it just her, or was that little sound of approval just a little sexually charged? She wondered. She said, “I'll be right back” as she went to grab the beignets and warm them up. She brought them back to him. “Here.” She smiled sweetly and lifted the warm pastry. Scott gently reached out and took her wrist in his hands, and turning her palm towards him, fed himself the gooey mess. His lips gently touched her fingertips. “Mmm, delicious, just as I expected.” He groaned after he swallowed. “I love this sweet cinnamon sugar.” He licked some of the stickiness from her middle finger, and watched as she blushed a little. “But it’s not really what I wanted.” His dark eyes narrowed on her as he sucked her index finger into his mouth, swirling his tongue around the tip. He finished with a kiss on the very tip as he let her hand go. “Well,” she breathed. “If you’re looking for something a little more… substantial, maybe we should go back to my house?” She quirked a delicate eyebrow at him. “I think that could be very agreeable.” He grinned impishly. “Do you have a car here?” “No,” she replied quickly.” I walk most days. I just have a few things I need to finish, and I'll be right out.” “Sure.” He smiled. “I'll wait for you out front.” Callista watched him exit the store and locked the door behind him. “God, he has a nice ass!” she giggled to herself. “I've definitely got a treat for him...” She ran giddily to mop the floor.
