What would eventually become the first Matchmaker Bandits story was originally named "Accidents Will Happen: The Great Train Robbery" and was actually the third story in a series entitled "Accidents Will Happen".
The series was supposed to be comprised of stories about couples who find themselves in positions where they accidentally end up making love (not an easy task if I say so myself). Still, I managed to write two other stories in the series. They were entitled "Accidents Will Happen: Sweet Revenge" and "Accidents Will Happen: The Rehearsal".
"Accidents Will Happen: Sweet Revenge" was the story of a man and woman, sharing a house with their lovers, who come home to find the two in bed together. After the couple kicks out their unfaithful exes, they decide fake a sexual encounter and broadcast it via a private internet feed to their former lovers. Fate, however, has other ideas and turns what was supposed to be a revenge video into something entirely different.
In the second story, "Accidents Will Happen: The Rehearsal", a couple of longtime, childhood friends are trying one last time to launch their acting carriers. They finally get the break they are looking for and receive parts in one of those late night erotic TV movies. Everything is fine until they get to the love scene. They are so awkward together and the scene so bad that the director threatens to fire if they are not much improved the next day. Hoping to become more comfortable on camera together, the couple rehearse later that afternoon in her apartment in front of their own camera and all goes well until technical problems make the scene far more erotic than either of them anticipated it would be. But then, that too is another story.
Anyway, I was trying to come up with a new idea for a third story in the "Accidents Will Happen Series" when I wrote "Accidents Will Happen: The Great Museum Robbery"; and, that's how the Bandits were born.
The story you are about to read was my second attempt at a Matchmaker Bandits story. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
