A Song of Suzy – Verse 3
My eyes opened in the darkness and for the briefest of moments I was totally disoriented. Almost everything around me was unfamiliar. The bed was strange, even the ceiling was unrecognized. Only the dim light of the full moon filtered through the heavy curtains illuminated the unfamiliar place. I did not know what had awakened me. The only sound, the rhythmic breathing of Suzy sleeping quietly beside me. Even the sound of her slumber was new to me, nearly as unfamiliar as the strange hotel room.
I propped myself on one elbow and looked at her in the pale light. Long blond hair flailed by her sleeping movements, cascaded over her pillow and shimmered in the scant illumination. She was lying on her side, her back to me. The thin hotel blanket draped over her waist. I could see the curve of her jaw and an earlobe poking from her soft hair. The curve of her shoulder sent shivers through me.
I knew by the darkness that it was still the middle of the night but the sight of Suzy, sleeping naked beside me was enough to bring me to full alertness. I would sleep no more, consumed by the beauty of her.
She made a noise in her sleep and rolled to her back. My eyes watched her. I took in the peaceful look of her face, so angelic in slumber and let my gaze slide lower to the swell of her breasts, but it was her lovely face that captivated me.
I looked at her and remembered the taste of her kiss. The feel of her arms wrapped around me. The softness of her body pressed against mine. Swirls of warmth flowed through me. I could not believe how lucky I was to be lying beside this wonderful woman. Surely this must be a dream, such a special woman could not possibly be beside plain me. It was too much to believe! I could not be this lucky.
I watched her sleep and time dissolved. I do not know if it was an hour or three but time had no meaning when I looked at her. I could watch her for hours and still beg for the merest glimpse of her. So many feelings swirled through me as I watched. Feelings and flashes of memory of our short time together.
The need to touch her crept up on me slowly. The desire to feel the heat of her body and assure myself that she was really beside me and not just a swirling lovely dream. The feeling built slowly until it was overpowering. I had to touch her skin. My hand reached out to trace the outline of her shoulder, my touch soft and tentative. Hesitant, not wanting to disturb her.
The touch sent heat coursing through my whole body and my lips began to hunger for her. I just had to kiss her. I moved to my hands and knees as my lips reached for her shoulder. I felt the softness of her skin against my lips as I planted soft kisses on her shoulder.
The taste of her skin sent flashes of heat through me. I had to have more! My lips moved to her right breast softly kissing up to her nipple as my ears listened to her breathing. I didn't want to wake her but I needed to taste her. My lips softly sucked her
