Looking out the window, I was in a dream of where my life would go from here.  I could see the baggage crew guys loading our luggage onto the bottom of our plane and the guys loading the fuel tanks onto the plane.  It was a beautiful day outside here in Los Angeles and yet my mind was elsewhere, wondering where my life was going to go from here.  My marriage was finally over and I didn't know what else to do but to go home to my parents in Virginia.

I still couldn't believe as many times as I had tried to make my marriage work, my husband still kept on running around on me with other women.  I couldn't compete with the younger girls, not that I was old at the ripe age of 20, soon to be 21.  I was a model with a great tan.  I was 5' 5", 125 lbs. and what I was always told were the perfect body measurements, 36-24-36.

It was our 1-year anniversary and I had gone out of my way to prepare our special dinner by candlelight.  I had my best lace tablecloth on the table with flowers, candles and the works.  Jack kept asking me over and over, "When will dinner be ready?”  I was feeling rushed to hurry and didn't know why.  It didn't matter to him that it was our first anniversary.  Something else was definitely on his mind.  While I was cooking, Jack said he needed to go to his car and close his windows because it was suppose to rain.  Well I thought that was rather strange, considering it was very sunny outside.  We lived in an apartment and I decided when he left to go to his car I would follow him.  When I thought the coast was clear I followed him out the door.  I came to some double doors in the hall of our apartment building and stopped to hear voices on the other side of the doors.  I was startled to hear him on the phone telling whoever it was that he would be late because I was taking my good old time.  I knew in my heart that he was talking to another woman.  I burst through the doors and asked who he was talking to.  He said it was a friend and I grabbed the phone from his hand.  I spoke into the receiver and asked, "Who is this?" and of course no one replied.  That was all I needed to know that it was another woman he was speaking to.  Needless to say after arguing, our first layer wedding cake went right in his face!  This wasn't the first time he had been unfaithful and I knew now, it wouldn't be the last.

We were married on April 15th the year before and my parents were not happy about me marrying him. They wanted me to be happy.  Dad tried all the way up to the night before my wedding to talk me out of it.  Within the first couple months we were married Jack had stayed out all night and told me he had stayed with a friend named Bobby because he had

 wonderful!!!!!!!!!Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good story wonderfully written. Smoking on the plane- when did it take place? Not a lot about Steve - his job, his looks, a few other things.........., and very little about his personality. If I were to change it I would work on giving him particularly a personality and I'd have a little more about the flirting and the subsequent sex with a little less introduction. But then it is a true story and one can't adjust the truth. I loved the humanity of the author too. Nothing in it it seemed blistering hot, but then, it all seemed so real! Thank you- your story was wonderful. Please write more!!!!!!!!!!!!
